At 75 years old, Margaret shared her bed every night with a huge python… until one day, her daughter, a veterinarian, discovered the reason behind this strange behavior.
Three years earlier, Margaret had taken in a young python she named Sunny. She became so attached to it that she eventually came to consider it a true pet.
But over time, Sunny grew… and its behavior began to change.
One evening, Margaret woke up and discovered the python lying beside her in her bed. She wasn’t afraid. On the contrary, she simply thought that Sunny was looking for her warmth.
Then it happened again.
Night after night, the snake moved closer and closer, eventually wrapping itself around her legs and abdomen.
Margaret found it touching and even told her daughter Daniella, who was a veterinarian, all about it.

A few days later, Daniella came to visit her.
In the kitchen, Margaret revealed what Sunny had been doing every night.
— “Do you know what he does now?”
Daniella remained silent.
When she realized exactly what was happening, her expression suddenly changed.
She immediately begged her mother never to sleep with the python again.

Daniella slowly approached Sunny and observed his behavior for several minutes.

The fact that it had stopped eating or adopted certain positions around Margaret could also indicate a worrying change in behavior.
Margaret froze.
— “You mean… he was measuring me?”
Daniella nodded.
— “I don’t want to take any risks whatsoever. Starting tonight, Sunny will no longer sleep with you.”
Margaret looked at her companion of three years.
For the first time, she no longer saw the little snake she had taken in.
She saw a several-meter-long adult python… capable of becoming extremely dangerous.
That night, Sunny was placed in a secure enclosure, far away from the bedroom.
As for Margaret, she remained awake for a long time.
