Opposite her sat her ex-husband, Igor. He was confident, well-groomed, wearing an expensive suit, and could barely hide his satisfied smile, as if everything had already been decided.
When the judge began presenting the issue of property division, Igor leaned slightly forward. The house, the car, the savings — he was sure he would get everything.
Then Anna stood up.
