The child wouldn’t stop crying, and when the mother saw what he had in his mouth, she immediately ran to the doctor: now she’s warning other parents 😢

The child had been crying for several hours, and the crying had gradually stopped being just a simple tantrum. At first, the mother thought it was the stomach, teething, or hunger. But over time, she increasingly realized that it wasn’t just ordinary crying.

The child had already been crying for almost four hours straight. His face was red, his breathing was uneven, and his voice was becoming hoarse. The mother checked his temperature, changed him, examined his body, thinking there might be scratches or other injuries, rocked him in her arms, walked him around the room, and played white noise. Nothing worked.

When the child suddenly took a deep breath and opened his mouth wide while crying, the mother looked inside and saw a dark spot on the palate. It looked frightening, like a hole or a worrying growth. At that moment, she shivered. Her thoughts immediately went to the worst-case scenarios.

The mother didn’t wait a minute. She grabbed the child and ran to the hospital, not thinking about her appearance or what others might say. At the reception, she struggled to explain what was happening, as her hands were shaking and her voice was breaking.

They were quickly taken to the examination room. The child kept crying, almost without strength. The mother paced the room, feeling growing guilt. She felt like she had missed something, hadn’t checked everything, and was responsible.

The doctor entered. Calmly, he put on his gloves, turned on the headlamp, and asked them to hold the child more firmly. The light fell directly into the mouth. The doctor gently pressed the tongue with a spatula and examined carefully. His face became serious, and the mother struggled to stay standing.

The doctor took a pair of forceps and carefully lifted the dark spot. A minute later, when he explained what had caused the child’s hysterical crying, the mother was horrified. Now, she warns other parents to stay vigilant, because this can happen to anyone 😢😱

In just a few seconds, the instrument held a soggy piece of toy sticker. It had stuck to the palate, swollen with saliva, and looked like a frightening wound.

Apparently, the child, exploring the world like all children do, had put the toy in his mouth, and the sticker had ended up stuck there.

As soon as the paper was removed, the child fell silent. He took a deep breath and snuggled against his mother. The crying stopped just as suddenly as it had started.

The mother felt both relief and embarrassment. She thought she had panicked for nothing. But the doctor calmly said that it’s better to come once more than to miss a real danger.

He added that the mother had done everything correctly, because she had noticed that her child was in distress.

At home, she checked all the toys and removed the stickers. From that day on, she became more attentive to details, but no longer felt ashamed of her fear. That evening, she realized that her worry was not a weakness, but an act of care.
