A 5-year-old girl complained of severe stomach pain, and when her mother took her to the hospital and the doctors examined her, the doctor suddenly declared, «Ma’am, I am calling the police immediately!»
The problems had started early that Sunday morning. The little girl was playing on the playground, sliding down the slide, laughing, but within seconds, everything changed. She stopped, grabbed her stomach with both hands, her face contorted in pain, and she murmured softly:
— Mom, I want to go home… I don’t feel well.
— Maybe it’s because of the sweets? — the mother asked cautiously.
— No… I haven’t eaten anything… It hurts a lot…
The woman crouched down next to her, hoping it was just a cramp.
— Show me where it hurts.
The little girl, teeth clenched, pointed to her right side. The mother’s heart tightened: everything looked like appendicitis.
Without wasting a second, she put the child in the car, called her husband to tell him to head to the hospital immediately, and then drove at full speed toward the facility.
The little girl was quickly taken to the examination room. The doctors also suspected appendicitis. But a few minutes later, the surgeon entered, pale, his face tense. He looked long and gravely at the mother and said:
— Ma’am… it’s not appendicitis.
— Then what?! What’s wrong with my daughter?!
— I am calling the police immediately. Someone did this to this poor child!
The woman felt the ground slip from under her feet.
Later, the mother was told that the child had a ruptured liver. Very dangerous, very serious. She was immediately taken to the intensive care unit to prepare her for emergency surgery.
The doctors worked for several hours and, fortunately, managed to stop the bleeding and save her life.
But the question, “How did this happen?” remained unanswered. The truth emerged quickly — terrible, horrifying. It took only a few more questions to the doctors to understand.
The little girl’s father, the person she trusted most, had kicked her in the stomach so hard that he damaged her internal organs. The reason? The little girl hadn’t tidied her room. He thought it was a form of “discipline.” He had not measured his own strength. And he had injured his own child. The father was arrested directly at the hospital. The little girl survived, but her recovery will be long.
But one thing was certain for the mother: she would never let that man near her child again.
