A five-year-old child was complaining of severe ear pain and insisted that there was something inside: the doctor examined him and screamed in terror.
That morning, the house filled with screams — the usually calm and smiling five-year-old child cried out so loudly that the parents rushed into the room, terrified to death. He was sitting on the bed, holding his head in his hands, crying, pressing his palm against his ear

Mom, there’s someone in there!” he sobbed. “In my ear, it’s moving!”
The mother tried to calm her son, thinking it might just be his imagination. But the boy didn’t stop screaming, complaining that something was moving inside his ear. The father, turning pale, without hesitation, put the boy in the car and they rushed to the nearest hospital.
At the emergency room, the doctor initially tried to stay calm. They took X-rays—nothing suspicious. The doctor even suspected that the boy simply didn’t want to go to kindergarten and was pretending. But the boy, trembling with fear, begged:

“Please, doctor, take it out. It’s moving…”
The woman took a flashlight, gently tilted the child’s head, and looked inside the ear. Her face turned pale instantly. She pulled back and screamed—surprised and terrified.
Something was moving in the ear canal: small white larvae were wriggling, clinging to the skin walls.
The parents were shocked, unable to believe their eyes. They urgently called an otolaryngologist, who carefully removed some larvae under a microscope and washed the ear with a special solution.
It turned out that the boy had fallen asleep on the porch during the summer, and during the night a fly was buzzing around him. The insect had laid eggs directly in the ear canal, where the warmth and humidity created perfect conditions for hatching.

After the procedure, the boy recovered quickly, but the mother remained disturbed for a long time—haunted by the thought that she hadn’t believed her son right away.
Since then, every time the boy complained, she no longer argued or minimized it. She now knew that even the most incredible thing could be true.
