For several days in a row, a little girl came to my door, stood there for a few minutes, and then ran away. I was worried about her, so I decided to find her parents – and I learned something unexpected. 😲😱
Almost every day, exactly at noon, the same little girl would appear on my doorstep. She was beautiful, well-dressed, with chubby cheeks and a small teddy bear in her arms.
She would stand near the door, looking straight into the video doorbell camera, as if she were waiting for something.
I was often at work at that time, so I couldn’t open the door or find out who she was or why she was there. Every time, the same thing happened: the little girl would ring the bell, wait a minute or two, then run off around the corner.
No cars, no adults nearby. Honestly, the situation was becoming more and more worrying each day. Where were her parents? Why was a little girl walking around alone?

I started to fear that something terrible had happened.
One evening, unable to take it anymore, I went to the police with the video recordings. The officers quickly located the young girl’s family and summoned her mother to the station. That’s when we discovered something unexpected. 😲😱

When the woman walked in and heard what she was being accused of, she burst out laughing.
«Sorry,» she said, wiping away tears, «it’s just that my daughter is at an age where she’s curious about everything. We live not far from you and often walk down that street. Every time we pass your house, she says, ‘I want to say hello to that lady!’ She runs up to your door, calls for you, then comes back. I always wait for her at the gate.»
I was in shock.
«But why my house?» I asked. The woman smiled again:
«You probably don’t remember, but one summer, you gave my daughter an apple when she had fallen down. Ever since, she feels the need to come wish you a good day.»
The officer and I looked at each other and burst out laughing. It turned out that the ‘mysterious visitor’ was just a sweet little girl who came every day to say hello to someone who had once shown her a bit of kindness.
